Marvellous Matilda is waiting to welcome you home. With its vintage inspired design our 2 seater Matilda sofa feels comfortably traditional. Luxury velvet and turned wooden feet adds to the opulence. Ease into the softness. The fibre topped foam filled seat and back cushion are deliciously plump. And back cushions are reversible. You can flip them over and swap them around to avoid that sinking feeling. Comes with 2 velvet scatter cushions too. Luxury.
Team this sofa with our matching Matilda chair. They’d make a classically sumptuous pair.

Have you fallen in love with a Habitat sofa?Â
Follow these steps to make its journey home as smooth as possible.
Measure your space
If you’re looking to replace your well-loved sofa with the same amount of seats, why not use your current sofa as a guide? Simply compare the measurements of your current sofa to the sofa you like online.Â
Going for something new? A handy tip: Use masking tape, newspaper or even cardboard boxes to map out the dimensions of the sofa you like.
Measuring for deliveryÂ
We can only deliver items to a room of your choice providing our drivers feel there are no health and safety issues, like a staircase that’s too narrow or a danger of damage to your property. Try to measure the access routes before you buy your new sofa to make sure it’ll all go smoothly on the day.
Step 1. Know your measurementsÂ
Your new sofa will be delivered in protective packaging to keep it safe in transit. So, before you start measuring, grab a pen and paper and jot down the packaged dimensions of your chosen sofa. You’ll need to know the height, width and depth. This information should be on the product page.
Top tip: to make your new sofa’s journey as easy as possible, give yourself 5 cm of extra wiggle room when measuring.
Step 2. DoorwaysÂ
Measure the width of your doorframe at its narrowest point. If this measurement is greater than the sofa’s packaged height, you’re all sorted.
If your door doesn’t open all the way (eg if there’s a radiator or door knob behind it), open it as wide as you can and measure from the outer edge of the door to the inner edge of the door frame. If this measurement is greater than the sofa’s packaged height, you’re sorted.Â
If your door’s too narrow, measure the height of your doorway. If it’s greater than the packaged width of the sofa, you should be able to carry the sofa through upright.
Remember to measure every door the sofa has to go through.
If your doors are too narrow, don’t fret. Have a look at other ways to get your sofa into your home. Do you have a wide window or patio doors round the back? Explore all the options.
Step 3. Hallways
Think of the route your new sofa will have to take to get to its home. If you’re going through hallways, measure the narrowest point (including obstructions like bookshelves and radiators). If the hallway’s narrowest measurement is greater than your sofa’s packaged height, you should be fine.
Step 4. Taking your sofa upstairs
Measure your stairs at the narrowest point (remember to include banisters and light switches in your measurements). If this measurement is greater than the packaged height of your sofa, there shouldn’t be a problem.
Step 5. Need a lift?
Measure the width of the lift doors when they’re fully open and the depth of the lift. If these measurements are greater than the sofa’s packaged height, width and depth it should fit.
Stuck between fabrics?
A swatch will help you decide Go on, have a feel! While you can’t stroke the sofa itself, you can get the next best thing – a swatch. Then you’ll be able to colour match with the rest of your decor and check that you’re happy with the finish. It’s a free service that covers most of our sofas, and we’d recommend taking full advantage of it. Order a few samples from your shortlist so that you can compare.
